I think your give somebody the third degree is in the wrong category. Medically speaking both women and men own the same amount of ribs-12 pairs; in attendance are some variations of an extra floating one or a missing one dependent on genetic inherent factors.
Men and women both own twelve pairs of ribs, for a total of twenty-four.
