Medical School Application?

Does anywhere know if you have to submit giant school transcripts or SAT/ACT score for medical school applications? I'm trying to create a checklist for my younger sister.Medical School Application?
Your sister's SAT/ACT score will be a part of her giant school transcript and you involve not submit seperate copies. Only official transcripts will be agreed, meaning they must be sent directly from one college to the other. This is done to avoid any fraudulent submissions.
Yep, they want to know everything from 9th grade on.

Medical Riddle?

Right! Is it even in supposition possible for a YY Chromosome child to occur essentially?Medical Riddle?
yes and no. A zygote could form in the bag of two nondisjunctions resulting in an egg near no sex chromosomes and a sperm with two Ys. the likelihood of those two events happening and that one sperm being the one to fertilize the embryo are totally, very small. The embryo would next be naturally abort early on surrounded by development.
Naturally? Not as a rule. The mother provides X chromosome contributions.
However, it is possible due to a rare genetic condition call chimerism.
This can create XY cells contained by the ovary, odd as it sounds, and it have a in one surrounded by a billion situation to create a Y egg cell.
No, If there is a Y chromosome next the child born will be male genetically. Even surrounded by the extremely rare skin of double conception where someone ends up next to a YXX combination the person will still be born mannish, but may appear to be female. And surrounded by this case the individual will be sterile due to the further chromosome.
Troy is right.

Medical Riddle?

Right! Is it even in guess possible for a YY Chromosome child to occur smoothly?Medical Riddle?
It's possible but the baby would not survive long.
You have need of the X for normal functioning of the body. An xyy would hold a chance.
Naturally? No. The mother provides X chromosome contributions.
According to the websites below, it is possible for the combination to crop up but the resulting organism is nonviable and invariably aborts spontaneously.
freshly YY alone? NO. not just because you cannot survive short an X chromosome, but also because mothers (females) do not carry a Y chromosome. females are XX, and you can any get an X or a Y from daddy's side, but you hold to have an X any way.
XYY is possible (2 Y chromosomes from dad) and OY is possible (empty chromosome from mom) but not YY. never YY.

Hint: alpha for aluminum is .0000125 using Faren. Degrees. Question:
A man needs an aluminum pin put contained by his leg that is 6.00 long to serve a broken bone he has. If he get sick and runs a temperature of 105F degree how long could that pin in his leg acquire?Medical ? using Faren. Degrees?
Change in length = (Original length)(Alpha)(Change within Temp)
    Change in length = (6.00in)(0.0000125 / F)(105F - 98.6F)
    Change contained by length = (6.00in)(0.0000125 / F)(6.4F)
Change in length = 0.00048 inches
Final length = Original length + Change contained by Length
    Final length = 6.00in + 0.00048in
    [ Final length = 6.00048 inches ]
    okay that was basically cool.

If it's with the sole purpose hypersensitivity to smell there are not greatly of options. Sometimes anticonvulsant medication are tried because abnormal smells are associated near temporal lobe dysfunction. Klonopin might help as might some other, more serious anti-seizure medication. But the risks might outweigh the benefit

Yesterday, I heard within the news that nearby was a man climbing a mountian.

He could be heard making this shrieking niose for ages afterwoulds.
He be carried away in an nouns ambulance, still screaming, with a heart rate of 240bpm.
He cried because of the niggle for a staggerig 66 hours.
He pleaded for the doctors to kill him and his total back be blue with bruising.

I have never hear of this. How can this happen?Man falls stale cliff attain extreme agony for ages?

    LSD vs LSA?

what is the Difference? which is worse?LSD vs LSA?
LSD is lysergic acid diethylamide. LSA stands for lysergic acerbic amides, usually naturally occuring. Hence, LSD is a specific TYPE of LSA.
    What is LSA...?
    I've never tried that...
Do you know where on earth to get some...?
I've hear of LSD of course, who hasen't!! But I never hear of LSA?? No drugs are a good theory in my inference!! But that is a short time ago me!
lsa is a hawain thing very soon stop asking about equal drugs over and over again hippy. And no I'm not 5 just mexican
ie. 1.5 mg of extracted LSA is as potent, and does one and the same thing as 100-200 ug of LSD? NEVER done LSD orLSA but the interconnect below people are conversation about u topic check it out
LSD is more powerful than LSA, but LSA can be obtain legally.
LSA is commonly found surrounded by Morning glory seeds. You no you get the right ones when it says something approaching this "This is intended for gardening only do not consume" LSA is extracted by crushing the seed and drinking them but this causes ruthless stomach effects. Try soaking about 100 seed or so in a cup of water surrounded by the fridge for 2 to 3 days then drink the white foam at the top.
    LSD hand down anytime.
LSA is more difficult to know the amount you are taking because its usually part of the plant (ie morning glory seeds)
They are similar but I conjecture LSA's are more dreamlike and people tend to not move around as much. Also "hell" trips are more adjectives with LSA than LSD.
My personal thought is noticeably LSD

Lowering blood pressure and pulse rate during tranquilizer subtraction?

I'm withdrawaling from a benzodiazepine drug called Xanax and enjoy been experiencing the "spar or flight" response as a result. This has lead to a profound increase in my blood pressure and pulse rate explicitly almost constant and is very discomfited. I wanted to know if taking a beta blocker (or similar drug) could assistance lower or reverse my high blood pressure and pulse. Thanks!Lowering blood pressure and pulse rate during tranquilizer subtraction?
Beta blockers would indeed lower blood pressure, by reducing heart rate and contractility. These include atenolol and propanolol. Also, parasympathomimetics such as pilocarpine and bethanechol will lower heart rate.
Other things can be used to lower blood pressure by lowering heart rate or contractility such as potassium, sodium and calcium blockers. These include diltiazem, digoxin, amlodipine, cromakalim and quinidine.
ACE inhibitors will lower blood pressure, and are commonly used (such as captropril). Angiotensin receptor blockers (such as losartan) will lower blood pressure as okay.
Lastly, alpha-1 receptor blockers, such as prazosin,, will relax vasculature smooth muscle, and thus lower blood pressure.
    Well, hope this helps

Can you give me some advices?
Thank you within advance.Low sex drive. Can you grant me any warning?
Ask your doctor give or take a few side effects of the meds you're taking. He may also draw some blood to check your testosterone level. As men approach age 30, testosterone level start to decrease.
This sounds similar to side effects from your meds. Talk to your doctor for advice on conceivably switching meds or something you could also take to back your sex drive. Your doctor knows best. You don't want to take/follow any "home remedies" that might interact adversely next to your meds.
watch some porn to stimulate yourself
zilch to worry contained by this there are tabulate for hyperadrenaline which will increase the flow of adrenaline.

  • Long Question:?

Isoprenaline (10mg/kg) administration contained by a normal anaesthetised animal increased heart rate from 100-175 bpm and halt systolic bp from 110-75mmhg. What drugs would you administer to define the mechanism causing these responses?Long Question:?
I'm not sure if I completely know the question. Are you motto, how can we prove that isoprenaline works on beta-1 receptors?
If so, then we could administer beta-antagonists close to propanolol and atenolol; if they antagonise (reverse/reduce) the effects of the isoprenaline (ie lower heart rate) then we enjoy proved that isoprenaline works on beta-1 receptors.
Or, we could do things like administer isoprenaline and PDE (phosphodiesterase) simultaneously, and show that when cAMP is broken down by the PDE, isoprenaline does not work, thus proving that isoprenaline's moving parts for increasing heart rate is to raise intracellular cAMP level. (It does this as cAMP opens Na+ channel, which initiates muscle contraction [thus increasing contractility and blood pressure, the latter by increasing smooth muscle contraction around the vasculature], and also decreases the 'If' current time, the one which is used surrounded by the SA node to determine the rate of depolarisation of the atria and ventricles, and therefore decrease heart rate).
We couldn't use parasympathomimetics to see what effect the isoprenaline was have, as these are physiological antagonists, not receptor antagonists - so these would have duplicate effect as, for example giving PDE, but by a different mode of action.

Well, I hope this is of some facilitate.

I know that you cannot take more than 4000mg of tylenol Daily.
BUT since Lexapro also go through the liver would the daily amount of tylenol be LESS than 4000mg for someone on Lexapro?
Or would it be one and the same since there isn't any interaction?Lexapro & Tylenol??
Lexapro (escitalopram) is not frozen on the liver. Drinking alcohol might make 4000mg per daylight risky, but I can't imagine Lexapro have any significant effect on Tylenol's rate of metabolism.
acetaminophen causes liver despoil through free radical injury.. . and lexapro (escitalopram) a SSRI is prearranged to cause GI disturbances similar to upset stomach diarrhea constipation heartburn and stomach pain , the device is different... and as far as i know, there is no main interaction between the two...... so there is no principal change contained by the metabolism of the two.....
but something that really screws the liver is taking acetaminophen beside aspirin..... free radical injury beside an uncoupler.

    Lead poisoning?

I have to write in the region of one environmental and one nutritional disease for an assignment in Bio.
For a Chem assignment i gather a lot of info on organize poisoning, so if possible i'd similar to to use the info i already have.
BUT... I'm not sure if front poisoning is environmental or nutritional, because you can ingest it, from food and stuff, or you can inhale it (does inhalation count as nutritional?), but you can also absorb from makeup and stuff, can't you?
And the head has to be contained by the environment in the first place, approaching in the soil or paint and stuff.
And front in food isn't that adjectives.
So is lead poisoning nutritional of environmental? (In most cases, anyway)Lead poisoning?
Lead poisoning is an environmental issue.Lead is more than potential ingested when a person is involved surrounded by the removal of old paint. When organize paint is sanded in attendance is a small amount of lead dust released into the environment and is after breathed in by population in the surrounding area.As lead is an accumulative poison at hand can be many years earlier there are symptons. These symptoms include apathy, lack of appetite and mood swings.Hope this be of value to you
What the first human being said was true but within additon, the lead from saloon batteries are 'recycled' and it is another method of head poisoning to animals and humans
it can be either. it's true that most cases of front poisoning are due to environmental exposure, but it's also certainly possible for it to find ingested. for instance, a toddler eating lead-based paint flakes that are crumbling from a wall. i would classify that as a nutritional disease.

    LDL cholesterol commonplace level?

    LDL cholesterol commonplace level?
    LDL Cholesterol (bad)
    Blood Level
    Explanation

Less than 100 Normal level. Lowest risk for heart disease.
    100 - 129 Low borderline. Low risk.
    130 - 159 Borderline. Possible risk.
160 - 189 High borderline. Increased risk for heart disease.
over 190 High. Major risk for heart disease.
    Under 100 is great
    100-130 is OK
    130-159 is borderline glorious
    160+ is danger zone
beneath 100, even below 70 is good.
Keep surrounded by mind the "normal" changes depending on the person's medical history. For example near a normal individual the value would be just about 120 before you would inevitability to start treatment, but in diabetics, heart attack, and stroke history, you want it atleast lower than 1000. So, here really isn't a set value for everyone.

    Kyphoplasty vs vertebroplasty?

Are there any out of the ordinary differences between the indications and contraindications for these 2 procedures?
It seems from the literature that kyphoplasty is more significant and safer of the two but are there any instances where on earth VP can be used but KP shouldn't?
I know by saying this I will probably provoke culture to do it anyway...but can you please not just copy reams of irrelevant info give or take a few these two procedures on wikipedia and paste it as an answer! I could own done that myself!Kyphoplasty vs vertebroplasty?
OK -- you've done your homework and know what the procedures are and what they are done to treat and your question is a great one.
So...one (the biggest one I've seen) explanation that one is chosen over the other is that a kyphoplasty can't be done for "old" vertebral fractures. The reason: "old" fractures own started to heal somewhat and the fracture fragments aren't consequently loose enough to be moved/elevated next to the kyphoplasty balloon.

The doctors in my home prefer Kumar and Clark's Clinical Medicine. The presentations are concise and more specific.
The same book may be good for one and may not well-mannered for another.
So the best thing to do is to be in motion to the library. Set all the three books on the table. Pick 2-3 items from the index. eg. PMS, diarrhea, vertigo. Read adjectives these items form all the three and you prefer for yourself, as to which one you liked the best.

    Ketamine anesthetic?

When they use ketamine as a pain contract killer, it causes optical illusion which can be effectivily prevented with the use of benzodiazepines.
But would I be right within saying that benzodiazepines are ineffective at have any effect in patients undergo general anesthesia near ketamine?Ketamine anesthetic?
First of all, benzodiazepines do not prevent the hallucination caused by ketamine. Benzodiazepines are used contained by these situations because they will provide retrograde amnesia so that the patient does overlook the hallucinations (which can be unpleasant).
Secondly, benzodiazepines do hold an effect (as stated above) of causing retrograde amnesia. But that's not adjectives, benzodiazepines when used in broad anesthesia of any kind will drop off the amount of other anesthetic needed to provide adequate anesthesia. It is deeply commonly used during cardiac anesthesia because inhalational anesthetics (which also provide some amnesia) are rarely used consistently throughout the operation and frequently solely opioids are used as the anesthetic (which doesn't provide amnesia), so benzodiazepines are used as an amnestic agent and also decrease the dosage of opioid crucial.
Ketamine is a powerful analgesic, and benzodiazepines do not provide analgesia, but are still a very powerful tool and a important adjunct within some types of anesthesia.

Whether or not to filch the Kaplan course depends on how you study. If you learn better going to lectures, its could be worth the money. I curled up at the library and used the First Aid book and the BRS Pathology. I also used the Kaplan Q-bank question and thought they were hugely helpful. Take your time and jump through all of those and study what you get wrong. Also take the question in 50 cross-question blocks since that's the way the TRUE thing is organized. I took roughly 4 weeks to study, most of my peers took 5-6 weeks. I just didn't hold the attention span for longer. Remember the test is mostly pathology, pharmacology and physiology. Don't stress over the anatomy or dreaded biochemistry question. There are a few of those, but most of the test is from the three P's. When I took the authentic thing, I get up and stretched my legs after every hundred questions. I tend to bring test rapid and felt resembling I had plenty of time to finish respectively section. Just create in your mind?

If someone transplanted your still-living brain into the body of a person next to brain damage. To whose home should the recovered long-suffering return?Just create in your mind?
an existential question, better asked contained by philosophy category, for better answers - back to the valid world.
The mind is the person, "I give attention to therefore I am". The character decides where on earth their home is, it isn't decided for them unless they can not net a decision, which manner they should be in a medical facility.
Um... what would it concern that the second person have brain damage? Presumably, their brain would be removed, right? So speak brain "A" (the healthy one) be Mr. White and brain "B" was Mr. Black, you would remove Mr. Black's brain and put Mr. White's surrounded by. It would still be Mr. White, just contained by a different body.
It's just close to having an arm transplant or, even closer, a heart transplant. The being is the same, the body parts don't really thing, so I guess the patient should return to the nearest pub and try not to expect about it.
Wow, thats a tough query. I remember watching a movie about this a few years ago where on earth a woman was brain departed and another woman got hit by a bus............even though it be fiction it was still one of those movies that be hard to view. Excellent Question!

No, you are not paranoid. If it made you dizzy and severely, very ill. People who do not and have never taken medicine do not understand, your body have to work it through the blood stream when you first start taking it to start being artificial by it, and vice versa, it has to work it out as gradual to bring back over the effects, this is why you get sick, you rushed it out of your system too hurried. Good luck.
ummmmm, I dont think you should get hold of medical advice from ByeDr.com. Just a thought.

See a psychiatrist. SSRI's like Lexapro can effect mania surrounded by people who are bipolar. Paranoia can be a symptom of fixation.

It is concealed anteriorly by the greater curvature of the stomach and the left colic (splenic) flexure. Its immensity varies from 50 to 250g.

Is Vistaril a apposite sleep aid?

I was prescribed Vistaril for use for anxiety as needed during PMS. For times gone by two weeks, I haven't been competent to sleep more than several hours a night, and I've be afraid to take the Vistaril because I filch Dilantin. Is Vistaril good to back one fall asleep? If so, how long does it lift effect? (I just took one give or take a few 10 minutes ago, and I feel impressively calm and sedated, but not sleepy all the same.)Is Vistaril a apposite sleep aid?
The sedating antihistamines are a great place to start for insomnia, precisely because they're so non-addictive. If they work for you, they can be a great short-term or long-term solution. The main drug interactions to monitor out for with sedating antihistamines are any other meds that do sedation. According to the American Epilepsy Society's website, Dilantin (phenytoin) can cause drowsiness at complex doses. Wikipedia notes that Dilantin cause sedation at toxic doses, but not at therapeutic doses. Other sources are somewhat inconsistent in the order of whether Dilantin should be considered sedating. You could call your pharmacist and ask; that would settle the issue definitively.
Vistaril, also known as hydroxyzine, is frequently prescribed as a sleeper. It's an antihistamine and similar to other first-generation antihistamines, such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine), drowsiness can be a side-effect. However, in this skin drowsiness is the intended effect. Drowsiness occurs inwardly 10 to 60 minutes. Although the sleep-promoting effect is not powerful, no tolerance develops. That is to say, indistinguishable dose of hydroxyzine taken next year should produce one and the same sleep-promoting effect noticed this year.
Any interactions next to Dilantin (phenytoin) should be minor.

Is Vicodin Known To Trigger Seizures? Would That Be Rare?

Just wondering If someone who has seizure could take this medication. Is Vicodin Known To Trigger Seizures? Would That Be Rare?
It is safe and sound to take vicodin if you own epilepsy.
Central nervous system side effects from Vicodin include: CNS depression, drowsiness, dizziness, sedation, elevated intracranial pressure
If taken the agency the prescription says to filch them for that individual person, that human being should be fine.
Now, on the other hand, I started taken Vicodin for migraines and approved I really like the bearing I felt. I didn't previously hold a seizure disorder, but after using Vic. for some time--a full blown pompous mal happened. Is here really a shortage of blood bank?

We hear about the shortage of blood and why we should donate. Is at hand an actual shortage? Explain. Thank you. Also, how can I found out what blood type I am?Is here really a shortage of blood bank?
Yes there is. Think in the order of this: how many injuries appear in a daylight, do you think? Now, how various people do you consider donate blood in a sunshine? The latter is probably a much smaller number. Also, if you ask your doctor about your blood type, they any already know it and will tell you, or can audition your blood and find out.
Yes, there is. Its not a ruse. So, budge on, give blood! What ever type of blood you own they need it!
    Ashley
You asked in the order of the shortage of "Blood Banks", I'm sure there is. When a colloquial disaster strikes and there is a ring up for blood donors I have see the banks become overwhelmed next to donors to the point they turn them away and ask that they come back then or another day. If we have enough "banks" they could newly refer them to another close one. Before I retired I worked in several main hospitals in Ca. respectively time there be major earthquake this happened. The other problem the bank have is loss of power. I believe most enjoy back up systems for the critical preservation of blood and the processing of it, but not all of them, so thats a factor too. The basic thing is to donate if you can, thoroughly seldom is there an excess of donors, and don't continue til the banks are prayerful for donors.

Is in attendance any means of access to strengthen ligaments excluding surgery ?

Aside from Prolotherapy , Surgery or strengthening the surrounding muscle / tendons is there any mode at all you can strengthen ligaments thats available ?Is in attendance any means of access to strengthen ligaments excluding surgery ?
Weight training, yoga postures, palaties, gymnastic training, and war art's training can help. There are also tablets that athletes use which relief strenghten bones and joints. I can't remember if I saw any for strenghtening ligaments. However these tablets one and only help a bit bit and are used in extra to the other things I mentioned.
If an injury caused the fear, some ligaments can heal on at hand own with thinking, depending on the extent of the damage. Some types of injuries can just be helped beside surgery. I am currently recovering from reconstuctive knee surgery on my ACL. (Anteria Crutiate Ligament).
Ligament injuries pocket extremely long to heal. You should follow the suggestion of a doctor who specialises in these types of injuries, if this is the skin.
Physiotherapy based circuit training is apposite to strengthen ligaments, and is quite nice aswell.
Last summer, to avoid surgery to my ACL, I did 2 hours a week of circuit training that was orientated around physio of the artificial area, and it help as I now experience minimal problems as the ligament itself have strengthened aswell as hypertrophy of the surrounding muscles (semimembranosus, semitendinosus, sartorius, gastrocnemius, etc) and, I believe and what I remember, have one and only suffered from one problem in former times 10 months.

Also, to be a "biology experiment" (and by that I assume you indicate a cadaver for med student education or a research subject), you hold to donate your body to science, and you go through a process for that...so you don't necessitate to worry nearly that part. :)
Yes you can cut-off date what they can take and do beside your body after your death. What is VERY noteworthy is that you inform your family as surrounded by most countries it is the family/ spouse that have the closing say on organ donation.
No, you don't have need of to do anything. Have no fear, Your body will be buried according to your funeral directions after your organs are donated.

Is in that any positive proof that you can overdose on marijuana?

I have heard/read up on LD-50, the toxic dose of substance needed to kill 50% of check subjects. Does marijuana(THC) have a LD-50?Is in that any positive proof that you can overdose on marijuana?
Animal test have revealed that extremely illustrious doses of cannabinoids are needed to have noxious effect. This has lead scientists to conclude that the ratio of the amount of cannabinoids crucial to get a personality intoxicated (i.e., stoned) relative to the amount necessary to waste them is 1 to 40,000. In other words, to overdose, you would have to consume 40,000 times as much marijuana as you needed to carry stoned. In contrast, the ratio for alcohol varies between 1 to 4 and 1 to 10. It is comfortable to see how upwards of 5000 people die from alcohol overdoses every year and not a soul EVER dies of marijuana overdoses.
    Taken from http://www.drugtext.org/sub/marmyt1.html...
I thought I almost died once or twice that **** came from Vegas and it be laced beside something it depends on what you smoke make sure you know what you smoke previously you smoke it
Absolutely not. There is no evidence that marijuana can be consumed in quantity sufficient to produce overdose and/or toxicity. You would need to consume something on the demand of 100 lbs. in below ten minutes to achieve such a result. The result of overconsumption within the real world, however is other the same: excess intoxication followed by cavernous sleep.
Get the facts at the link below:
the LD-50 within marijuana for humans is 1,500 pounds in lower than 15 minutes. so to answer your question yes you can overdose on marijuana is it potential to happen to anyone but snoopdogg i really doubt it
ohh and for shwag not including mexican weed because i cant stand it the price for a pound of marijuana is $240 multiply that by 1500 and it would cost you $360,000 to overdose on marijuana

Is near a specific type of doctor that one and only treats masculine problems?

I'm studying to be a doctor and want to know if there is a specifc "ology" or something dealing with the sole purpose with the masculine gender. Because within is such a thing for women, so near must be one for men.Is near a specific type of doctor that one and only treats masculine problems?
There doesn't seem to currently be a masculine equivalent of "gynecologist". However, there are doctors who specialize within treating disorders that would affect primarily or only men, such as disorders of the prostate and masculine reproductive system. Medical research, however, often focuses solely on one sexual category or another. You might be more interested in pursuing a medical research profession if you want to deal solely with masculine issues -- for example, specializing in studying the cause or treatments of male-only genetic diseases.
No, and you're a bit off beside your idea of obstetrics and gynecology. Gynecology is really going on for the organs, though of course they come attached to a intact person. But urologists are the guys to jump to for male genital problems.
Not to my acquaintance is there a formal '-ology' for doctors dealing merely with masculine problems.
However, you can be the first simply by limiting your own, private practice to treating "men only."
If this type existed, it would be call 'andrology' but it doesn't. Males don't get pregnant and as a consequence have too few specific problems that can't be treated at a urologist or dermatologist.
The best approximation would be the urologist who usually have more male than womanly patients if only because women tend to jump to their gynaecologist with urological problems.

    Is here a possibility?...?

that our research study could win in the intel..next to just our simple hypothesis of making a capsule or a tablet for humans to be consumed...it is an iron- complete capsule..for those anemic those..for those who lack iron within their body...

    ??Is here a possibility?...?
Be positive! Attract the thought that you will win and your world will rearrange for you. It's the canon of attraction! If you think you've done your best surrounded by that project then i cant find any explanation for you to lose.
Iron is already available in oral solution (220 mg/5ml and 25 mg/ml), oral tablets (325 mg), and capsule (150 mg), and IV form (125 mg/5 ml).
I would pick an hypothesis that hasn't already been done.
    lol !!
Well it's better to really hold a research study that is inimitable even though it's simple. Like not brushing your tongue can cause heart disease, find a innovative way to solve this even though you don't brush your tongue and not through vegetables and fruits....
    i sure hope so.......flawless luck

Is within a relation between trends contained by death from disese and the discovery of medicine?
yes, most people refer to them as fashion but it's not just due to prescription but also though genetic developement for example TB was one of the prime killers up untill the tardy forties but it was lone a small percentage of the population that died from it and the rest survived, most people immediately have a trial to see if we have antigens against TB and except, given them though a gab. but for example i have genetically acquire antigens i know this because i have be tested and every member of my relatives on my dads side hold the antigen. but before the gab be invented it was individual people near the genetically acquired antigen that be protected. if you wanted to look at it from a bigger picture a disease is discovered and after people look for a cure or a prevention.
Yes - more death without medecines, smaller number deaths next to medecines.
    Yes, indeed.
The discovery of Penicillin inclined the balance of survival within WWII towards "survival" rather than towards "death", which is what happen to 19/20 admissions to electioneer hospitals during WWI.
Is just an example. Others include INH as treatment for TB or the introduction of Quinine to treat malharia within India.

is it basically a surgeon who does research(MD/Phd)?Is near a duty where on earth you research unknown surgical procedures?
Most MD/PhD's work at research institutions where on earth there available job is to come up with innovative thinking on procedures and other aspects of medicine. Each research facility may enjoy have its own special focus, for example MD anderson focuses on cancer. Sometimes, they will subcontract to private companies. These companies do the animal side of the research, and outline a method for a new procedure. they will afterwards contact the hospital/FDA/review borad and the surgeons will then try the experiment on patients. There are abundant steps to trying new procedures, next to many job along the way.
I don't know if within is a physician who specifically does research for new procedures, but commonly pioneer surgeons are the ones who create new procedures base on experience.
yes; expert surgeons will discuss amongst themselves varioue novelties; try them if biologically nouns; if a bit risky they'll do them on animals first and write up a few papers and publish them to get feedback. If you muck it up on a human you'll be sued, so they're watchful

Is near a GENERIC stimulant medication available that have an extended duration?

Hi. Right now I'm taking 2, 10 mg pills of instantaneous release adderall daily for extreme fatigue and inattention issues. I make out that the valleys on this med come across to be rough. When it starts wearing off I a moment ago want to curl up and go to sleep, and this happen quickly-like within four hours of ingestion. I know within is XR adderall but my insurance only covers generic meds so I can't afford it. Does anyone know if nearby is a similar GENERIC drug that has a extended release that would end at least twelve hours or so, so I wouldn't own to face that complex mid day slump. I also notice that the first two hours or so after taking the med, I am edgy and anxious, and I get sweaty really smoothly. I'm thinking and hoping that an XR med would smooth out these side effects as well. Is this feasible? Thanks for any suggestions...Is near a GENERIC stimulant medication available that have an extended duration?

Is in that a doctor surrounded by the house today?

what would be considered a high dose of any antidepressent and a low dose for a long-suffering to be on.Is in that a doctor surrounded by the house today?
It depends completely on the drug, and how your body reacts to the drug.
Are you referring to SSRI's, tricyclics, nefazodone, bupropion, venlafaxine, mirtazipine or MAOi"s?
Some of those drugs are started at dosages of 10mg, and some at 150mg or more.
The usual practice is to start low, and increase the dose until the drug works,or until side effects become too bleak, and then a alien drug has to be tried.
Everyone is different, so treatment for depression must be individualized.
    Hope that help.
That is too generalized of a question. Each anti-depressant have it's own range.
    It depends on the anti-depressant.
It depends on which antidepressant, what the lenient has be prescribed the antidepressant for (yes, it's used for more than depression), how old the forgiving is.... There are alot of factors to consider surrounded by this question.
25mg is a low dose, but 150mg is not really a lofty dose. I'm on 140mg Lofepramine a day.
    Hope this help.

Is the opening of an antibiotic to relieve your symptoms and procure rid of the cramp?

Or is that not the "goal" of an antibiotic? I'm asking because some antibiotics take awhile to work and you can be taking the tablets but still in affliction. Is the opening of an antibiotic to relieve your symptoms and procure rid of the cramp?
Antibiotics only exterminate bacteria, they do nil else unless it is specified on the packet.
Analgesics remedy pain as do some anti-inflamatories for other reason.
The job of antibiotics is to snuff the bacteria specifically the cause of the infection, which is cause the symptoms/pain.
The job of the antibiotic is to catch rid of infection...bacterial infection...you can still be in throbbing until they start to work.
Antibiotics are used to treat infections, and are not painkillers. If the pain is due to an infection, eventually they will work on the affliction because they will be eliminating the infection. However, if it involves throbbing & infection, you'd need a analgesic and an antibiotic.
antibiotics are used to kill the bacterial infection

No, anabolic steroids and growth hormone circulate throughout the body, affecting all organs. This is why heart and other organ expansion is such a problem with body builders (big heart don't function well).
However, keep within mind that anabolic steroids by themselves won't make you huge or muscular. You have need of to add exercise to the muscles you want to expand.

Yes, it's safe. Most doctors prescribe Ampicillin to pregnant women. It's member of the Penicillin class.

Is shallow breathing ordinary after anesthesia?

While I was awakening from anesthesia I remember the nurse recounting me that I needed to take deeper breaths. I thought I be breathing fine. What would cause the shallow breathing? Is shallow breathing ordinary after anesthesia?
most anesthetic agents are respiratory depressants, and they can breed your breathing more shallow. the exception to this rule is narcotics, which will cause respiratory depression but gross your breathing deeper but slower.
most likely your breathing be just fine, but the recouping room nurse wanted you to hold deep breaths to re-expand your lungs to prevent something call atelectasis- that's where portions of the lung remain collapsed because of underinflation while beneath the effects of the anesthesia.
I found after having a spinal that my lungs get congested. Maybe it's just the congestion that make you breathe shallower, not too sure.
Normal breathing is relatively shallow. The nurse was recounting you to take deeper breaths so you would gain more oxygen, to help you rest from the anesthesia. But normally you don't call for to do that.
yes. really it depends on what type of anesthesia you were beneath. generally your muscles, during and after anesthesia, are more relaxed, and that includes the muscles contained by your diaphragm, in your chest and lungs.
They want you to breath cavernous due to anestesia being expelled by the body. Ways to achieve things out of our body (naturally) urinating, bowel movement, vomit, and exhaling. TO get rise of extra river in your body you pee more. The deeper you breath the express you wake up.

    Is Rozerem efficient?

My biggest problem is falling asleep and staying asleep. The doc gave me 30 time sample of 8mg tablets of Rozerem. Do I run just one? And is Rozerem significant in helping both of those problems? Is Rozerem efficient?
Unless he said otherwise lift one. If one does not work then phone call and ask him if you are allowed to take two. (I don't know your medical history, shipment etc. to make a for sure call). When you sleep trade name sure the room is dark and cool and that you are solitary using your bed for sleeping, not reading, playing on computer, or watching TV. Sex is an exception to this.
I take generic Ambien. I tried Rozerem but it made me twitchy and restless so I go back to the Ambien and it works for me. Everybody is different.
Don't put away 4 hours before bed. A full stomach can undercut the effects of sleep medications. They usually pinch an hour to work for me. Make sure you have 8 hours to sleep too because it stays contained by your system and you will not be safe to drive or anything close to that. My doc also says to enjoy someone watch you the first couple night because Rozerem has be known to end in sleep-walking. Another reason I stopped it.
Yes it will relieve you fall asleep and stay asleep and you do a short time ago take 1 at bedtime. You should purloin it when you go to bed precipitate enough to enjoy a 7-8 hour sleep. If you do not give yourself that much time for sleep, you would be immensely tired.

Is pillow a must? I didn't use it for ending 10yrs. Still no pains. Any meidcal proof for Pillow? By Raheem

Is it pillow manufaturers' advertisement that creates medical reason for making us to use pillows. Could there be any medical evidence contained by favour of Pillows? Tradditional medical system do not raise your spirits the use of pillow. How can this issue be clarified from all angles and how can this interrogate get a clear cut answer - By RaheemIs pillow a must? I didn't use it for ending 10yrs. Still no pains. Any meidcal proof for Pillow? By Raheem
A pillow is adjectives for maintaining proper alignment of your cervical spine near the rest of your vertebral column. You should maintain the best posture base on how you sleep.
If you sleep on your side, you would want the pillow there to move up your head to the proper position. But if you sleep on your backbone, you may not need a pillow at adjectives.
When it comes to pain from posture, you wouldn't perceive it for years of continued misalignment. So just because you don't be aware of it now, doesn't mingy you won't feel (and regret) it after that in enthusiasm
It's thing of comfort it is not a must. I use one. I don't similar to them to high sort of standard size.
Hard bed usually require a soft, not too high a surface beneath, it help a better breathing during the night, although its not a must, and it doesn't build a difference, unless you feel self-conscious yourself.I don't use a pillow atall. No specific pros and cons, make sure if you sleep minus a mattress below, you have something soft below your head.
Cervical spine get extended under gravity. Pillow keep it in resting position.
If your body is going to be surrounded by one position for an extended period of time it is better if the spine is straight. Your airway also wants to be straight and open to allow upright airflow while breathing. It doesn't have to be a pillow, any raise objections that elevates the go before slightly would do the trick.

Is osteoarthritis a true connective tissue disorder or merely shared degeneration over time?

Is osteoarthritis a true connective tissue disorder or merely shared degeneration over time?
OA is a chronic degenerative disorder related to but not caused by aging, as here are people very well into their nineties who have no clinical or functional signs of the disease. As a character ages, the water content of the cartilage decrease due to a reduced proteoglycan content, thus causing the cartilage to be smaller quantity resilient. Without the protective effects of the proteoglycans, the collagen fibers of the cartilage can become susceptible to degradation and thus exacerbate the degeneration. Inflammation of the surrounding amalgamated capsule can also transpire, though often mild (compared to that which occur in rheumatoid arthritis). This can come up as breakdown products from the cartilage are released into the synovial space, and the cells bin liner the joint attempt to remove them. New bone outgrowths, call "spurs" or osteophytes, can form on the margins of the joints, possibly surrounded by an attempt to improve the congruence of the articular cartilage surfaces. These bone change, together with the inflammation, can be both rough and debilitating.
So it a combination of them both, beside the loss of the cartilage leading to the degeneration of the joint over time.
Wear and tear on a amalgamated with aging.

    Is Orajel addictive?

also, is this question stupid? Is Orajel addictive?
No, not physically, but if you're surrounded by pain and orajel is relieving that affliction you could be psychologically addicted to it. Basically anything that brings a person pleasure can become psychologically addictive. Only if the compound is replacing or mimicking something that your body smoothly produces will you become physically addicted which is not the case beside orajel.
    There are no stupid question...
...just stupid people. Fortunately, neither you or this put somebody through the mill fall into any category.
I do not have an answer for this, though my logical guess would be yes simply because Orajel relieves misery and people don't approaching to be in twinge. Therefore, people will want to hang on to using this and eventually feel (even after proper treatment) that they call for this because they are not used to living next to any sort of feeling surrounded by that area. As for any physical dependence resembling other drugs as Morphine or crack, I cannot answer.

  • Is lexapro and welbutrim xl interchangeable?

Is lexapro and welbutrim xl interchangeable?
No, they are not. Lexapro (escitalopram) is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). Wellbutrin (bupropion) is an NDRI (norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor). Serotonin, norephinephrine, and dopamine are three different monoamine neurotransmitters, so the neurological effects of the two medications are not matching. In fact they can be prescribed together soundly, and often next to positive results.
In the medical literature, I have never see that either one is favored for "mild" or "moderate" or "severe" depression. Generally an antidepressant is chosen base on its side effect profile. Depression presents differently in different patients. Escitalopram have sedating properties and is often chosen for depression near accompanying anxiety. Bupropion has stimulating properties and is commonly chosen for depression with hypersomnia or listlessness.
they work by different mechanisms, so no, they are not interchangable. gossip to your doctor before varying your medications
No. Lexapro and Wellbutrin are different biochemical entities. Lexapro is aimed more at the mild to moderately depressed while Welbutrin is for the more moderately to severely depressed.

Is organize poisoning an environmental or nutritional disease?

Does inhalation of lead ions counts as nutritional? because isn't that how most organize poisoning occurs; close to through dust and fumes?
I know you can get front in food which can effect lead poisoning, but is that adjectives enough to be paid it a nutritional disease? Is organize poisoning an environmental or nutritional disease?
lead poisioning is an environmental disorder cause due to the release of d heavy metal Lead from vehicle and industries.
It depends on how you're getting the lead.
Little kids will chew on their cribs. If they've be painted with lead-based paint, that's an environmental disease. If you inhale the fumes from a vehicle that's using tetra-ethyl lead contained by its gasoline, that's an environmental disease.
At least some lead-based compounds are sweet. If someone be to discover a plant that is sweet out of proportion to its sugar content, dieters would witlessly rush to add it to their coffee, etc., but if the sweetness be lead-based, that would be a nutritional disease. (Stevia? I don't know.)
If you are being feed lead by your wife, because she believes nuptials should be for life, not finished quickly by a divorce, that would be a nutritional disease.
It is first an environmental and next a nutritional issue. Lead is not a common ingredient of food and so any intake of organize is due to environmental contamination.
Once lead enter your system, you have a nutritional problem, to be exact how to eliminate it.

When you have a viral infection does you wbc travel up or down?Is it up or down?
The correct answer is "maybe." What's skilled in arts school is that WBC goes up beside bacterial infections, and perhaps down a bit next to viral infections. In the real world, it doesn't work that agency. It's not that unusual for klds with minor viral illnesses to enjoy a leukemoid reaction, near WBC's over 40,000, or for elderly patients with serious bacterial infections to enjoy a low WBC. Despite its popularity, the WBC is a test short sensitivity or specificity of a degree that can be trusted. An experienced physician's gestalt he get in that first instant of eyeballing the long-suffering is much more accurate, but don't look for the test to step away any time soon, and learn the bacterial high/viral low mantra.

Is it true that introverted race own more likelihood to capture schizhophenia?
Introversion does not cause schizophrenia or directly contribute to the nouns of schizophrenia.
That being said, near may still be a correlation since:
    1) They share environmental risk factors (childhood knock about, trauma)
    2) The early stages of some schizophrenia may look close to introversion and be labeled as such before the diagnosis of schizophrenia.
    3) Schizophrenia and introversion both enjoy heritable factors.
In other words, although introversion does not result in schizophrenia, I would not be surprised if introverts develop schizophrenia at a higher rate than extroverts.
Unfortunately I do not enjoy an actual study to back this up. If anyone know of such a study, please post it!
It is true that people who socialize are smaller quantity likely to hold a mental illness, however, it is my (untested) belief that it is the "closet extroverts" who are more predictable to have a mental malady. What I mean is shy empire who really do want to have abundantly of friends and be around people most of the time, but for some object end up spending most of their time alone. A true introvert is positive to be alone and is not lonely. A true introvert is healthy and probably have no more chance of mental sickness than an extrovert.

No, it's not true that if you ingest venom, you'll build a resitance to it. Anything you rob by mouth will increase the concentration.
Now, I know several farmers who are immune to snakebites, because they've been bitten so tons times. But I wouldn't suggest that either.
If you drink the snake toxin, you'll die much quicker than if you were bitten, because the toxin will get to your blood and heart much quicker.
don't do it the toxin will kill you.if you ingest it it will travel over your body faster than if you where on earth bit don't do it
I would not suggest it, but there is culture out there that enjoy taken enough bites that they own become immune to it. There is also other out there that own taken in exceptionally very minuscule amounts over a time of year of years to develop an immunity to it.

Is it past the worst to lug Co enzyme Q10 whilst taking Thyroxine for an under-active thyroid condition?

I have an under-active thyroid condition and am currently taking Thyroxine tablets. I enjoy recently read some comments from inhabitants on a Thyroid Forum stating that Co enzyme Q10 can work wonders for Thyroid disorders, increasing energy etc. Does anybody know if this is the defence and if it is safe to use these two medication together? Is it past the worst to lug Co enzyme Q10 whilst taking Thyroxine for an under-active thyroid condition?
Coenzyme Q10 is a non-vitamin. It is a compound that is present contained by and functions in mitochondria, but it is a compound that is to say totally unnecessary to take as a supplement. Your cell have the size to produce all of the Q10 that they involve. Consuming more will just aim that less is produced by the cell. I don't believe there is any evidence to support the thought that taking Q10 supplements will affect anything at all.
Given that, I wouldn't suspect that any injure will result from taking the Q10 supplement. The only spoil is likely to be to your edge account.
It is locked to take and will backing your heart muscles along with circulation and overall gusto to work things better. Check the research on this on the net - in attendance are plenty! I also know that some medicines approaching Lipitor and others can deplete your COQ10 supply. It is true - not a cheap supplement and everyone probably not need to supplement. If you are not on Lipitor munificent of drugs, and have no heart issues you are probably ok in need taking it too. Good luck to you!

Is it not detrimental to be taking Lipo 6 while also taking antibiotics?

I am currently taking 2 biaxin a day (500mg each) and also 3 pills of Lipo 6. Is the combination undisruptive to take?Is it not detrimental to be taking Lipo 6 while also taking antibiotics?
Bioperine Synephrine is the fundamental "active" compound of Lipo 6, found in the fruit call variosuly green orange, sour red and bitter orange.
Consult your physician prior to use if you are taking medication including MAOI inhibitors, antidepressants, aspirin, non-sterodial anti-inflammatory drugs or products cintaining phenylephrine, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or other stimulants
biaxin is clarithromycin, so it is not detrimental to use the two at the same time.
I'm guessing Lipo 6 is some OTC (over the counter) cargo loss drug....
Unless I knew what be in it...I would recommend you not pinch it. If you could provide a list of ingredients it might assist.
Yes Lipo 6 is a very nontoxic diet pill its been around and a top salesperson for years. I found this link that have the ingredients listed http://www.performancenutrition.com/shop... and as you can see it does not contain Ephedra. I enjoy used it while on antibiotics with no doomed to failure effects

    Is it possible?

if serotonin leaves your body via urination, why can't we measure the amounts of serotonin released beside urine in urine screen? if so...can we use this to diagnose depression? Is it possible?
You can measure the serotonin level in urine, but the serotonin products within urine are released sporadically, so it can't be used for diagnosis on a urine screen. You own to do a timed urine collection, usually 24 hours, and also refrain from drinking foods high surrounded by serotonin to prevent false elevations.
As far as I know it can be used to help out diagnose, but it isn't used much.
you can't measure serotonin directly within the urine because it doesn't get excreted total. we can measure the metabolites of serotonin (5-hiaa), but that's not a apposite test for depression.
