microvilli stripe epithelia cells to increase surface nouns in areas where on earth absorption wishes to be maximized, such as surrounded by the stomach.
cilia are used for mainly locomotion...
Yeh, the party above said it:
Microvilli are found in epithelial cell to increase the surface area for absorbtion.
Cilia are found within the respiratory system purely for the movement of solids (phlemb) up the bronchi, and into the trachea so it can be coughed out.
Both cilia and microvilli have microtubules contained by them for movement (I think), but microvilli are really only for absorbtion, zilch to do with locomotion.
